Popular Westmount Park

Centrally located, Westmount Park is the most popular park in Westmount. Its idyllic walking paths, shady gazebo, indigenous flowers, towering trees and gently flowing pond make it an ideal place to read, sunbathe and picnic. You may catch a soccer or softball game in play and cyclists traversing the park via the main cycling/pedestrian path. There are also tennis courts, a wading pool and a large playground with a woodchip terrain. The park is often used by summer newlyweds as a backdrop for photos.

Summit Park Crowns Westmount
With over 23 hectares, Summit Park and Lookout is Westmount’s largest park. Its natural setting is a haven for wildlife—birdwatchers can bring their binoculars to glimpse assorted species of birds. The park is also a flower sanctuary and forest preserve. Stroll though the wooded paths or head to the south end of Summit Circle to be rewarded with a breathtaking view of Westmount and beyond. On a clear day, you can see as far as the mountains of the Eastern Townships.

Winter King
At King George Park—also known as Murray Hill Park—there are areas for baseball, croquet and tennis and the huge playing field offers additional possibilities. There’s also a dog run, a wading pool, a playground and even a water garden with fish. King George Park also gets many visitors in the winter, as it’s one of the best tobogganing locales in the area. Besides these three larger parks, Westmount also has a couple of small “tot lots” for kids in the area.
