A Non-Lucrative Goal
Situated in the heart of the Plateau, Robin des bois is a restaurant with a non-lucrative goal. Most employees are volunteers and all the profits earned by the sale of meals and products are redistributed to charities that work in the community helping to overcome solitude, social isolation and poverty. For those wishing to participate in any of the restoration tasks (cooking, serving, cleaning) or other restaurant activities, the door is always open!
Grandmother Inspired Recipes
As one walks inside Robin des bois, the frivolous flavours of the dishes that simmer out of the oven will tickle their nostrils. The establishment proposes a style of cooking that imitates the taste and comfort of grandma’s recipes, all of which are concocted from Quebec-grown products. In other words, the food is healthy and delicious, and can be savoured for any meal of the day.
Morning, Noon and Night
Early in the morning, guests can taste the viennoiseries from the Fromentier, country-style quiches or grandmother’s crepes among other things. At noon and in the evening, a three-choice menu and a platter are offered. Some examples include crunchy salmon tarts and red lentils, mixed salad with sesame seeds accompanied by tahini & miso mayonnaise or chicken curry on an orange quinoa.
