Profil Dernière mise-à-jour: 29 octobre 2008
The only French restaurant on Côte-des-Neiges, Le Béarn graciously honours its motherland and has been doing so for more than 30 years, a rare feat in Montreal’s fiercely competitive restaurant industry. The menu, while classic, does not confine itself to Southwestern France specialties and instead, offers gastronomical choices from around the country. Based on its long track record, it’s a successful tactic.
Confit and Other Treats
The menu at Le Béarn offers a large selection of French classics. Veal liver, kidney, sweetbread, duck confit, rack of lamb and other fish dishes are created in accordance to French culinary tradition. For lunch, the menu of the day includes an appetizer and a main course, but the evening table d’hôte includes five courses. Of course, à la carte selections are also available, as well as a fine selection of wines.
Classic Dress
With about 50 seats, Le Béarn welcomes its clients in an intimate and pleasant environment. This cuisine’s classicism is also reflected in the service, which is just as attentive and welcoming. Le Béarn is a good choice for old country nostalgia and for gourmands of all origins.
