Modern and Trendy
Located on the ground floor of the former IBM building, restaurant Decca 77 offers contemporary French cuisine culled from the imaginations of three of Montreal’s most noted chefs. Known as market cuisine, their brand of delicacies ensures that every ingredient is market fresh and draws inspiration from an international palate of tastes. The prices tend to reflect this, with dinners ranging in cost from mid to high. Lunch offerings tend to be more affordable, making this a popular spot for nearby office workers to take a break at midday.

Take in a Forkful… and an Eyeful
Decca 77’s design is modern Art Deco, filled with natural light by day, muted with candlelight by night. The cool, black marble and grey granite of the building is offset by the warmth of raspberry and beige suede chairs and banquettes, sleek fringed chandeliers and shades, and walnut wood panelling. Occupying three separate levels, Decca 77 can accommodate up to 120 people. The elegant, main dining area features a soaring 20-foot ceiling and open kitchen, permitting a glimpse of the culinary artistry at work. The bar, the design of which has won Decca 77 a prestigious award, is a comfortable spot for a pre-dinner cocktail or an after-work gathering, and is very popular with the post-event crowd from evenings at the nearby Bell Centre. On a separate floor, the lounge is decked out with black leather couches and cranberry coloured suede chairs, a fine change of venue for an aperitif. Private dining spaces occupy the third floor, completing the Decca 77 visual experience.

Veni, Vidi, Vino
Capturing the eye and the imagination are three towering glass showcases housing over 600 different wine labels from around the world, many of them from small producers. Decca 77’s wine director eagerly shares his passion for old and new-world vineyards and makes discovering a new wine a pleasurable and memorable experience. This dedication to the pleasures of the grape saw Decca 77 recently awarded Wine Spectator Magazine’s Award of Excellence, for offering “interesting selections appropriate to the cuisine whilst appealing to a wide range of wine lovers.”
