A soothing oasis of serenity in the heart of the city, Rainspa offers a full menu of services, including facials, massages, detoxifying body wraps and polishes, esthetic options such as waxing, and paramedical treatments — which employ high technology to combat cellulite, remove skin imperfections and improve circulation. Rainspa also boasts Montreal’s first hammam, a centuries-old Turkish-inspired steam bath which helps purify the body and rid it of toxins.
Welcoming and Intimate
With approximately 2,000 square feet of space on two floors, Rainspa is a welcoming, intimate venue. The spa offers six private treatment rooms, including a Vichy shower room and a larger space perfect for simultaneous treatments of couples or mothers and daughters.
Heat and Steam
Rainspa also boasts a steam treatment room. Heat and steam anchor the treatments here, helping to open the body’s circulation and drain toxins from the lymphatic system. Guests may enjoy essential oils and aromatherapy massages; slimming, toning and detoxifying wraps; Dead Sea salt exfoliations; paraffin treatments; mud of Mont St-Michel back treatments and more. The steam room is especially helpful with sports injuries, weight loss and cellulite removal.
The Hammam: A Turkish-inspired Steam Bath
Heat and steam also work in tandem in Rainspa’s hammam. A relaxing retreat, the hammam has a maximum capacity of 20 people, and offers benches for sitting and quiet reflection. Visitors may safely stay up to 25 minutes to enjoy the full benefit, cleansing and purifying the body from the toxins of everyday life such as pollution, smoking and even the foods we eat. Unlike a sauna, which uses dry heat, the hammam is a hydrating experience, with a drinking fountain and several showerheads with cold water to regulate the body’s temperature. A soothing balm for aching muscles and joints, this urban hammam helps heal both body and soul.
