Downtown Montreal boasts a number of bars and taverns, but the Dominion Pub on Metcalfe Street just south of Ste-Catherine still ranks as one of this city's favourite watering holes. From the outside Dominion Pub seems rather small, but that myth is quickly dispelled upon entering the large, open room that houses this friendly, neighbourhood tavern. Two old fashioned lanterns hang over the doorway, creating a turn of the century feel that permeates the pub's atmosphere and gives it a welcoming ambiance.
Hidden Treasures
Inside the pub, five television sets are mounted throughout so that patrons can catch the latest sporting events as they enjoy a few beers with some friends. There's also a large projection screen -- perfect for when a large crowd accumulates. For crystal clear viewing, there is also a a flat screen TV.
