Just for Laughs
Since 1993 the Musée Juste pour rire has been entertaining visitors with its various events and exhibitions earning it the distinction of the country’s funniest museum. Proudly showcasing the history of Quebec comedy, as well as a slew of international exhibitions, shows and cultural events, the museum is a great place to share some laughs with friends and family.

Humour Through the Ages
Intended as an homage to the role that humour has played in shaping human civilizations, the Musée Juste pour rire was founded by Gilbert Rozon in 1993 after the tremendous success and critical acclaim of the Just For Laughs Festival. Originally known as the National Academy of Humour, the Musée Juste pour rire is housed in a former 19th century brewery located on Montreal's famed Saint Laurent Boulevard. Showcasing the role of comedians and humour throughout the ages, the museum's permanent exhibition is a multi-media and interactive romp that will leave visitors in stitches.

Hilarious Shows
Having played host to a variety of hilarious shows and temporary exhibitions over the years, the 3,000 square foot exhibition space at the Musée Juste pour rire was renovated and refurbished by renowned architect Luc Laporte. Featuring a variety of activities, special events, concerts, parties, cabarets and workshops, the Musée Juste pour rire is no joke!

The Perfect Host
The museum also serves as a unique and multifunctional space for event-hosting. Whether it’s for cocktail parties, media launches, special screenings, press conferences or any other private, public or professional affair, the Musée Juste pour rire is truly an exceptional venue.
