On any given day it features photo exhibits, documentary screenings; and, thanks to whatever festival is in town, a heavy rotation of plays, storytellers, musical acts and eye-opening delights of all kinds. The best part is that getting in is usually free, although for the shows it’s preferable to pick up a pass in advance.
North of the Island
The Maison de la Culture Ahuntsic-Cartierville is located near the Henri Bourassa metro, up north, right before the edge of the island. From Laval or from Montreal, it’s easy to get there by riding the orange line, or if you prefer to ride above ground, by hoping on a bus, as Henri Bourassa is also a major bus terminal. Once you are there, take some time to enjoy the green space near the Maison de la Culture and walk north a block or so to get a good view of the Mille Îles River.A Vital Network
