At the start of the 1960, Old Montreal was beautifully revamped to become the cultural, architectural and touristic jewel that we know today. Located on picturesque Bonsecours Street, Les Filles du Roy played a large part in the renaissance of the area. Since 1962, Montrealers and visitors to the city have been visiting this restaurant and reliving the Quebecois past.
Delighting the Senses
It only takes one quick look to understand that this restaurant is really from another era. The old wood stove and the imposing stone chimney are testament to it. You can also find antique chairs with babiche seats woven by Native Americans from Ancienne-Lorette. Appreciate the authenticity of wall hangings from the county of Portneuf.
Famous Lac-Saint-Jean Meat Pie
Les Filles du Roy even thinks of your paunch! Quebec’s gastronomic reputation is faithfully reproduced here. Can you guess the star on the restaurant’s menu? You can’t beat it – the famous Lac-Saint-Jean meat pie! Come and take advantage of their ‘à la carte’ lunch menu. This classic, traditional cuisine is part of the La Maison Pierre du Calvet hotel, where you can also enjoy delicious French cuisine at the Pierre du Calvet restaurant.
