Pretty Presentation
Whether it’s a beautifully-presented dish, the elegant dining room space, or simply the day’s specials, Le Piment Rouge staff and executive have perfected the art of eye-pleasing aesthetics. The chic and decorative meals are carefully assembled to create a picturesque and proportionate image on crisp, white plates. Plus, the dining room has an equally classy and regal aura, with meticulously set tables, high ceilings, and an open, airy appeal that is not common to most Montreal restaurants.

Tasty Szechuan Dishes
Featuring a mouth-watering selection of tasty Szechuan dishes prepared under the tutelage of an experienced head chef, Le Piment Rouge is credited with having created the recipe for peanut butter dumplings. Offering an array of other house specialties, one of the most requested items on the menu continues to be their General Tao chicken served with a special home-made sauce. A favourite restaurant for local area businessmen, politicians and even the odd movie star, this restaurant's selling point remains its critically acclaimed Szechuan dishes.

Historic Building
Located in the former Windsor Hotel, this prestigious Chinese eatery is part of the reason the building won “Building of the Year” for 1995-1996. Considering the structure was built at the turn of the century, the restaurant underwent a complete set of renovations to give it a more modern feel and includes an enormous tower of wine bottles in the centre of the dining area. Since the 1980’s Le Piment Rouge has hosted many political and celebrity personalities, including Paul Martin, Jean Chrétien, Frank Sinatra, Céline Dion and Anthony Hopkins to name a few.
