Rejuvenation
In 2006, L’Idem bar became Le Cocktail, a business in which much money was invested to rejuvenate it. Just the same, the bar continues to attract a loyal clientele in the Village, which comes to sing and dance, every day. It’s hard to ignore Le Cocktail as the glass doors are often opened up and amateur voices fill the streets of St Catherine East.
Special Evenings
As of 9:30 p.m. Sundays through Wednesdays, amateur singers can take the mike to sing for friends. Thursdays, true professionals take the stage, for the first time at 10:30 p.m. and again at midnight. But these are not singers, but cross-dressers. Friday and Saturday nights are dedicated to lesbians, to meet and drink.
Alcohol and Look
Spread over two floors, Le Cocktail welcomes up to 200 guests. Now outfitted with leather sofas, there is a certain chic look, more so even than its predecessor. There are also poker machines, a billiard table and a foosball table. As for alcohol, there’s a little bit of everything, and specials are available every day from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
