A Spacious Little Bistro
La Petite Ardoise has been a friendly and relaxed place to dine since 1981. With seating for 80, this popular bistro adds 50 more seats in their garden terrace during the summer. The décor of brick and light wood creates an ambiance of warmth and comfort. A blackboard houses the menu for patrons to read, hence the name “ardoise,” which means “slate” in French. Faux windows with flowers add to La Petite Ardoise’s Parisian-style look.

Breakfast or Lunch
Breakfast is served until 11:30 a.m., and weekend brunches are extended until mid-afternoon. If you come by for breakfast or brunch, you’ll have your choice of eggs, omelettes, muffins, fruits and bagels. The luncheon snack menu features sandwiches, quiches, salads and the ever-popular croque-monsieur—a ham and cheese sandwich on country bread. Complete meals, which are displayed on the board, vary daily allowing the chef to concoct a host of specials.

Classic Meals
La Petite Ardoise’s French cuisine ranges from beef and lamb to the fish of the day. Duck is a mainstay on the menu, served in different ways, including as a confit. European dishes like stuffed fowl, calamari provençale, Flemish endive salad and veal scallops often make their way onto the daily list. Homemade desserts include crème brûlée, tarte tatin, chocolate mousse and crème caramel. With breakfast, lunch and dinner on their menu, La Petite Ardoise is a charming getaway for any time of the day.
