Kitchenette is ready to do great things. Opened in January 2008, this little gem has got charm, sophistication and a sexy look that’s guaranteed to attract the beautiful people. Beyond that, the delicious food and great wine list make it a favourite amongst the everyday person, too.
Bistro Favourites
With bistro classics like beef bourguignon and a wide array of soups and salads, as well as re-imagined and updated plates like a mahi-mahi taco, the menu borrows from a variety of cuisines, most notably Italian and French. Vegetarians will be impressed by a number of meat-free options, as well. Meals are somewhat pricey, but the extensive wine list is reasonably prices and the atmosphere is worth every penny.
Modern Aesthetic in an Antique Space
Though the floors and columns are reminiscent of the building’s long history, the modern décor reflect something far more chic. With dark wood chairs and solid maple tabletops, as well as a gorgeous cement bar, tobacco-coloured banquette and chrome barstools, the look (as well as its convenient location next to the Radio Canada and CBC building) is attracting a lot of the see-and-be-seens like local actors and network executives.
