Jack of All Trades
After earning her bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts at Concordia University, Katrin Leblond completely immersed herself in the fashion world by becoming an intern for a New York artist. She returned to Montreal in 2000 as a textile designer for Tricot Liesses, a position which earned her immeasurable experience in the repetition of patterns, textures, stripes and colours. Guided by a strong desire to create, she went back to school and learned all about sewing and patterns at College Lasalle, and the art of making jewellery at the École de Joaillerie de Montreal.

1001 Knick-Knacks
Not only is she trained in many artistic fields, Katrin Leblond took management courses in order to fulfill her goal of opening her own company. Since she loves to shop in stores where clothing and fashion accessories go hand in hand, she bought a large space where she also sells decoration accessories, candles, bedding, jewellery and hats. She has even called in other designers to help expand her collection and allow her clients to discover more colourful kick-knacks.

Designer – but Affordable!
With Katrin Leblond, originality is key. The clothes that she designs and creates herself are very urban, even funky, but can last several years. The designer favours superimpositions and asymmetry, the fabrics are fine but comfortable, the cuts flattering and the prints daring. The style could be described as being bohemian sexy, definitely young and absolutely unique. Some of her creations are also available at Madras on Saint-Denis and Collections Méli-Mélo on Saint-Paul Street.
