Specializing in the promotion of Mexico and its rich cultural heritage of arts and sculptures, the Espacio Mexico gallery has a tremendous wealth of resources to draw from when showcasing Mexico's artistic traditions to Montrealers. With a stated mission to promote Mexico to as wide a range of audience as possible, the Espacio Mexico gallery is well on its way to introducing a whole new generation of Montrealers to the magical culture of Mexico and her various different regions or states.
Featuring various different genres of art including painting, photography and sculptures, as well as a wide range of handicrafts such as masks, Espacio Mexico presents a different exhibit every month. While Espacio Mexico eventually hopes to feature the works of Mexican artists living in Montreal, all of the artworks presently showcased at the gallery are done by Mexicans and imported direct from Mexico. The gallery also plays host to conferences and cultural soirees pertaining to Mexico and Mexican culture.
Note: Take note that the gallery is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Ask to be put on their mailing list to get the heads up on all their upcoming exhibits.
