The concept
It seems as though the old-fashioned mall is a thing of the past. There are more and more complexes being created that do their best to create an experience that includes fine dining, entertainment options and boutique shopping. The concept of Centropolis is simple: combine the vitality of a pedestrian environment with all the commodities of an indoor shopping centre. With this new urban twist, shoppers can freely walk to many different stores that are right next door to each other, reminiscent of urban squares of the past.

Destination by choice
The Centropolis opened in the city of Laval in 2000. Owner Yvanohé Cambridge, a successful Canadian investor wanted to create an area where the public can shop, eat and be entertained. Thanks to its modern architecture and design, the Centropolis offers a welcoming décor with a unique atmosphere, very different from traditional shopping centres. The total cost of the project totalled more than $200 million dollars.

The stores
Even though the Centropolis project is not yet completed, there are already a variety of stores that are open for business: boutiques (Aldo Outlet, Arte Pelle, Dumoulin, Idolem, In Style Living, Jacob Connexion, La Cordée, Librairie Raffin, Nadia Noce de Star, Shan, Vin et Passion, etc.), restaurants (le Tire-Bouchon, Boston Pizza, Élixor, Houston, l'Académie, Presse-Café, Le Four, Sukho Thaï, etc.) and recreation options (le cinéma Colossus, EB Games, Énergie Cardio, Moomba Supperclub, Spa Orazio, etc.).
