Bearing the name of one of the most iconic painters in the world, Centre Leonardo Da Vinci pays homage to the large Italian population that has been calling Montreal its home for over 100 years. In an effort to forge inter-community relationships among all generations of Italian-Canadians and Quebecers alike, the centre offers a variety of resources, sports, fitness classes, events, activities and more. The mission of the Italian-Canadian Foundation of Quebec is to raise funds and redistribute them to better serve the Montreal community as a collectivity.
The huge Centre Da Vinci provides many artistic and cultural venues to the community. Among these venues includes the Mirella and Lino Saputo Theatre, a beautiful stage room full of red velvet seating, the Governor’s Lounge, which serves as a sophisticated meeting room with a highly polished marble floor, ideal for cocktail parties and other celebrations, the Galleria D’Arte Umberto Bruni, which is a prestigious art gallery that overlooks the piazza and the LDV Symphony Orchestra as well as classrooms, conference rooms and much more!
Sports and Fitness
The sporting club at the Centre Da Vinci includes personal training and massage therapy, group course, a multi-sport gymnasium, a youth club and bocce courts. A great place to take the whole family, the centre’s members have access to all the cardiovascular and hydraulic equipment as well as the large, supervised pool. At the youth club, children and teens can play soccer, do street dance, tae kwon do, parent-child yoga and cheerleading. For adults, there are also group classes such as cardio dance, aerobox, step classes, social dancing, kung fu and much more!
