The List Goes On
Every visitor to this nature park is certain to find a diverse choice of activities, appealing to both the winter explorer and the outdoor enthusiast alike. Popular family and sporting activities include a stretch of cross-country skiing terrain and a health walk that is more than four kilometres long. The centre’s manmade frozen lake is a great place to take the family to skate. There is a chalet located beside the ice and a nearby hill reserved for tobogganing. For a more relaxing experience, visit the animals at the barn or check out the pony rides for toddlers.

A Downhill Ski Resort for Kids
Introduced in 2005, the My Snow Experience is a downhill skiing initiation and is permanently set up with a conveyor-style ski tow. On weekends, seasoned leaders will welcome children between the ages of five and eight for free introductory downhill skiing lessons. Equipment is provided (skis, boots and headgear) and children must be accompanied by a parent.

Sensitive to the Cold?
Head to the centre’s observatory for an exploration of the universe, planets and starts, run by Le Club des Astronomes Amateurs de Laval. Better yet, warm up with a change of scenery in the tropical greenhouse. It contains varieties of fruit like lime and mango as well as several exotic species of tropical plants, birds and Japanese fish in a pond.

Did Someone Say Summer?
Don’t forget to visit in the summertime, because the centre’s body of water is ideal for canoeing and kayaking; you can rent a canoe or kayak throughout the season. Walk around in the trails and then settle down for a beautiful picnic or lunch in the centre’s restaurant.
