School
The centre is a ceramic gallery and school, all rolled into one. The school opened in 1970 and offers students the opportunity to create ceramics in a studio under the guidance of professional ceramic artists.

Profession or Hobby
The professional program is offered in conjunction with the Cégep du Vieux-Montréal. Students who complete the three-year program receive a DEC in ceramics. The program is divided into six terms and covers aspects such as ceramic technology, shaping, turning, molding, and cooking. Individuals looking for a new hobby are also welcomed at the school. The Centre de Céramique Bonsecours offers introductory courses, such as turning, in which students learn how to fashion ceramics using the pottery wheel.

Gallery
Opened in 1982, The Centre de Céramique Bonsecours gallery showcases ceramic artworks created by professional artists from around the world. The exhibits change throughout the year and have included pieces from artists such as Carol Mose, André Floyd, Eva Lapka, and Marco Savard. Although the gallery displays professional artwork, once a year the Centre de Céramique Bonsecours students hold an exhibit of their own. The gallery is always free of charge to enter.
