Gourmet Groceries for the Locals
The store and restaurant take up a full old-city block, with a spacious interior for stacking high the gourmet goods and for circulating the air throughout the dining area. On the restaurant side, brunch and à la carte options abound, from the Brunch Cartet (apple and apricot compote, croissant with ham and goat cheese, salad, soft-boiled egg, salmon and sweet potato croquette) to the All-Salmon Special Brunch (scrambled eggs with salmon, smoked salmon on a bagel and the salmon and sweet potato croquette). Every day, the restaurant’s staff creates three plates for in-store tastings and take-out options. Fish, pasta, meat and vegetarian dishes are always on the menu, with reasonable prices for each.
