Historical Significance
L'Empreinte Coopérative was founded in 1974 and was originally located just a few steps away from its present-day site. Approximately twenty artists formed the cooperative in order to have a space to showcase their work. As an important member of the artistic community, L'Empreinte Coopérative continues to house the works of Quebec's artists and promote various genres. Sharing the work involved in repairs, maintenance, sales and administration of the store, current members of the cooperative bring an enthusiasm to the boutique that is both personal and professional.
Fine Arts and Crafts Boutique
Offering a fine selection of Quebec crafts, this cooperative is home to a fabulous cross-section of talented local artists. The gallery itself features various media, from jewelry to ceramics, glass, wood and more. Decorative and functional items are interspersed throughout the store, and you're sure to find something to fit both your taste and budget. Exclusive gifts found in the shop are great for all occasions, and include gift-wrapping services as well as an assortment of handmade cards to chose from.

As the co-operative sells and exhibits work from more than 60 different artists from across the province, there's a definite spirit of diversity found in the many different objects and art forms showcased. With constantly rotating guest artists adding to the line-up, there's always plenty to see at L'Empreinte Coopérative, and different additions with every season. Members of the co-op are allowed to display only the finest of their creations, based on values of aesthetics, technical skill, choice of materials and originality of design.
