Originally opening in 1986 as a fast food restaurant, this establishment was transformed into Bar U-Turn for the new millennium. With a capacity of over 50 people and even more room on the outside terrace, this bar has quickly become a go-to lounge for many Montrealers. With a laid back crowd in the daytime, which is punctuated by mellow and relaxed music, the evenings at U-Turn are comprised of a more energetic group, making today’s hit list the must-listen to tracks for the night.
Drinks and Music
With a full-service bar, drink prices are extremely reasonable. Choices include hard liquor and four micro-brews on tap: la blonde, blanche, chambre rousse, and la maison. Friendly staff can also serve-up café lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos. There is seating for up to 16 patrons at the dark wood bar. Customers can spread out through the 1,200 square foot lounge-like space, just taking it all in while kicking back on a sofa, or getting out on the floor and dancing. A vintage jukebox lets people pick their music, with tunes from the 1950s to today.

Instead, this bar offers a place to come and get away from the crazy outside, supported by its trendy and light atmosphere. Come in for Karaoke on Friday and Saturdays, or take in a sporting event on the ten-foot projector screen and plasma televisions. You can also try your hand at a game of foosball or one of the ten video lottery terminals. Patrons are treated to karaoke, foosball, and simply a place to relax and enjoy a night out with friends.
