Cheap beer
There aren't a lot of fancy options on the menu at Bar Davidson, but the beers they serve are always cheap. Choose between Labatt 50 and Labatt Blue, served in the big bottles, and settle in for the evening. They don't really serve food, although there are sausages and pickled pork tongues available, if you're interested. Mostly, you're there to drink, to talk, and maybe to watch some sports events on the TVs that are scattered throughout the bar.
Local favourite
A neighbourhood favourite, Bar Davidson caters mostly to an older crowd. The music is typically French and tends towards popular tunes by francophone musicians like Éric Lapointe. The beer is cheap, and locals love to sit sipping them throughout the evening and late into the night. Video poker machines are installed on one wall, and the televisions are usually tuned to a sporting event.
Typically Quebecois
If you're looking to test out your high school French, give it a spin at Bar Davidson. With a broad spectrum of locals to help you out, and a chatty bartender, there's plenty of time to nurse your beer and soak up the local culture.
