Bagel Etc. Has It All
Bagels Etc. is an old-fashioned style cafe located on the Main, just a block south of Rue Mont-Royal, across the street from the picturesque Portuguese park. With its stylish rustic décor and antique decorations, Bagel Etc.’s loyal customers continue to enjoy one of Montreal’s most famous of baked goods. Famed musician and poet Leonard Cohen has been known to stop in at Bagel’s Etc. for a bite, when he comes to visit his hometown.

The Golden Egg
As visitors will soon realize, the huge golden egg supported by a Roman column that sits above the countertop is a symbol of Bagel Etc.'s undisputed claim to frying up the most delicious egg dishes in town. Choose anything from eggs Benedict to eggs Florentine and everything in between for a breakfast that will get your motor roaring and set your day off on the right foot.

Scrumptious Specialties
The diner is open from early morning until late afternoon, with all-day brunch and local specialties like their super cheese blintzes and eight kinds of bagels. Just about everything on the menu, except caviar and Champagne, is less than $10. The “around the world” section of the menu offers unique creations including the Sephardic-style egg dish served with a delicious tomato base or the Eastern European breakfast complete with eggs, potatoes, knockwurst, braised sauerkraut and, of course, a beautifully toasted bagel.
