Profil

You will be at the garden level, in the Château’s basement. The solid, thick-walled vaulted structure dominates the space as in the 18th century.

At that time, the city of Montréal was confined to what we now call Old Montréal. But it was a city at the crossroads of important trade routes and over time, its influences came from the French, Amerindians, British, Americans and others.

The Château Ramezay is one of the few surviving witnesses of those days. Here, the walls speak and tell you of daily life in Montréal in the 18th century.
