Traditions Strongly Kept
Founded in 1978, La Sucrerie de la Montagne is recognized as being an official Quebec heritage site and every single thing you’ll see or find over there seems to be designed, thought and lived as things were in old times. With its three dining rooms, warm staff and 200 years old general store, this place is opened year round and can welcome up to 550 people at the time. Special menus can be designed for special events such as conferences, business trips or celebrations.

Outdoor and Sweet Rewards
As many other sugar shacks, La Sucrerie offers horse-drawn sleigh ride but has a little bit more outdoor possibilities as you can also go for walking or cross-country skiing on their 25-kilometre ski run. There’s definitely no better way to get ready for an old-fashioned feast. Meals are served as much as you like and among many tasty dish, you’ll taste country sugar ham, mountain dweller pea soup or “Beauceronne meat pie” and of course this little spring-like treat…Maple taffy, the best result given by boiling sap cooled on snow.

Eat, Dance and…Sleep
Of course, it wouldn’t be a sugar shack if no music was part of the experience. To the sound of cabaret singer-song writer music, you’ll be invited to dance and sing on folk music and rhythms. If you’re too tired to go back home after such a pleasant evening, it is possible to enjoy a night in one of the four antiquated small houses and a supper/breakfast package deal.
